Welcome to the website of IAML (Australia).
I hope you will take the opportunity to explore these pages, which describe the main functions of the association.
The Australian Branch of IAML currently has seventy two members. It is an active and mixed group comprising music and audiovisual librarians, music archivists and documentation specialists, musicologists, music publishers and dealers. Any person or institution interested in this type of work is eligible for membership.
IAML (Australia) provides a forum for the discussion of national issues and projects, through the annual journal Continuo and the quarterly newsletter Intermezzo, and through national biennial conferences.
Membership of IAML (Australia) provides an invaluable opportunity to develop a professional and personal network of colleagues and friends which will last a lifetime. Now is a particularly exciting time to be a member of IAML (Australia) as the international IAML conference will be held in Sydney in July 2007. If you wish to join up, and be part of the excitement and fun of planning and hosting such an event, please refer to the Membership section of this website.
